About Christine

“Hello. I am glad to see you have found my website! Here you can read about and follow my efforts towards joining the elite of women golfers. Please go ahead and make yourself familiar with the website, but first I will tell you about my golfing adventure so far…

I started to play golf thanks to my father at the age of nine. A few years later I played my first few tournaments, and this was when I really took a liking in the game. The following summers became booked with tournaments and my game improved quickly.

When it was time to choose course programme for high school I was lucky to be able to choose a golf programme that just started in my home town, Södertälje. Golf on the syllabus was perfect! In high school my knowledge about the game improved and I became a better player. I felt that a golfing career was worth a shot and I started to investigate options for the future.

My performances gave me a scholarship at Wake Forest University in the U.S. During my four years at Wake Forest I competed for the university’s golf team at the same time as I studied towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Wake Forest offered great practice facilities and I could practice and compete all year.

After graduation in June 2005 I moved back to Sweden and played my first season as a professional. I finished 17th on the Telia Tour rankings, a finish I was not really satisfied with. During 2006, on the other hand, my game was very solid and I won the Telia Tour rankings, a fantastic performance that gave me full status on the Ladies European Tour 2007!

My rookie year on the LET was full of experiences, both good and bad. Most of all it was a learning experience of what is to come. Much energy was put on getting used to the new environment. Now that I have become accustomed to "LET-life" I can focus more on my game. My confidence has grown and I strongly believe that if I play my cards right, with good practice and a positive mind, I can be up there fighting for a title in the near future. During 2012 my work place will mainly be in Sweden and in Spain, where I will play the Nordea Tour and the Banesto Tour.

I am looking forward to an exciting year 2012 that you can follow here on my website.”
